Obituary of Howard Robbins

 

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Howard John Robbins on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Hospice Renfrew. Howard was 88 years old and is survived by special friend Elaine Burke, daughter Noly (Wayne Corbin); sister Doris Robbins, special cousin Gordie Russett and many other cousins, and God-daughters Connie Findlay (Goslin) & Deb Coady (Goslin). He is predeceased in death by wife Lois (Wilson) January 2019; his parents Richard (Dick) & Sadie (Russett); brother Doug and sister Joan Wallace. He will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Adam Corbin (Melissa) & Kirsten Summers; and 5 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and card partners. Howard lived life like it was meant to be lived. Spending many years working with Consolidated Bathurst in Fort Coulonge, Temagami and Portage. After that career, he and Lois became owners of Robbins Shell in Braeside, where they operated that business until retirement.  Family will receive friends at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior Friday February 23, 2024 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church,  80 Daniel Street N., Arnprior Saturday February 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to a reception immediately following the service. Spring Interment Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Renfrew or St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Arnprior are most appreciated.
